Required Availability:
- Schedule and hours are flexible, designed to meet the terms of internship requirements, and decided based on program department event dates and requirements
- Hours of Business Operation: M-F; 8:00-5:00
- Internship Hours:
- Summit Program Internship scheduling includes hours that typically fall within the hours of business operation, with occasional exceptions and weekend opportunities for those with availability
- LIFT Program Internship scheduling includes hours that typically fall within the hours of business operation, as well as hours that are based on 6-week cohorts, typically on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, with occasional Saturday events
- Basketball Program Internship scheduling includes hours that typically fall within the hours of business operation, as well as hours that are based on the evening and weekend practice and/or tournament schedule

Position Summary:
This position plays a vital role to assist and lead programming within the Five Star Life program department that the intern has been assigned to based on their internship requirements and interests – Summit, LIFT, and Sports. Works directly with students often. Must be knowledgeable about Five Star Life’s Programs, practices and procedures. Must embody all Five Star Life Core Values (respect, responsibility, integrity, sacrifice, courage) in and outside of the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Programming
- Lead and/or support at Five Star Life programs within the assigned department
- Connect with students and coach them to live their best life
- Complete ALL Necessary FSL Training
- Obtain Certifications needed to facilitate programming
- Be reliable. Be at check-in ready to start ON TIME (recommend arriving 10- 15 mins. prior to start time)
- Set up and close out for programming to a high standard of excellence
- Keep all Five Star Life facilities “Tour Ready,” and contribute to operational excellence at all times
- Plan and Develop Five Star Life programming with the Program Team
- Provide real time feedback and suggestions for continual improvement to Program Team
- Implement and tweak programing based on direction provided by Program Team
- Assist the program team with administrative program duties in prep, execution, and followup stages of programming
- Oversee Program Experience From Start to Finish
- Ensure all necessary materials are set up at station
- Facilitate the experience with the kids and any support staff
- Engage kids and coaches/chaperones/parents
- Implement the FSL curriculum
- Measure and collect data
- Tear down station putting everything back in its proper place
- Organizational Support and Other as Determined by The Business Office
- Participate in team meetings, staff workdays, service projects, and fundraising event support
- Support logistics for events and occasional fundraising activities
- Drive between Five Star Life sites (Elkhart, Union, and Osceola)
- Develop and maintain systematic and efficient approaches to all tasks to ensure completion at a high level and in a timely manner to support organizational goals and needs.

Compensation Package:
- Paid and Unpaid Internship options are available
- Availability of Paid internship options are limited and vary based on current capacity. Interns who start in an unpaid internship may be provided with a path toward earning a paid position
