Early Learning Academy Lead or Part-Time Teacher

An ideal candidate will embody the Five Star Life Core Values at the ELA and outside of the ELA. An excellent teacher will possess skills such as compassion and patience when dealing with children. A positive and creative approach to education is an asset to individuals seeking this position. The goal is to contribute to the social and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education.

Responsibilities for a Teacher:  

1. Maintain ongoing, open communication with parents and caregivers
2. Ensure that each family receives an opportunity to build strong relationships with teaching staff
3. Provide a classroom environment that encourages parent participation
4. Plan periodical parent conferences to discuss children’s developmental progress, needs and interests
5. Create weekly lesson plans and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that nurtures and stimulates all domains of each child’s development in their care
6. Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children’s learning and growth
7. Perform ongoing developmental evaluations of children as required

Qualifications: 

1. Two years of teaching experience (for lead teacher)
2. Valid CPR certification
3. Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and in case of emergency a 40-pound child
4. Prepared to pass a criminal background check
5. Able to maintain an overall positive and professional disposition
6. Effectively plan, organize and implement educational activities
7. Demonstrable record of making decisions on behalf of children with their  well-being the top priority
8. Embody Five Star Life’s Core Values of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sacrifice, and Courage
